Am I covered in the event of an extreme weather warning?

In some weather conditions, the Met Office may issue yellow, amber and red weather warnings to highlight dangerous conditions, such as rain, snow, ice, wind and fog. These warnings advise you to take car when driving, with red being the most dangerous.

While it is highly recommended you do not drive during a red weather warning unless completely necessary, doing so will not void your insurance. If you have an accident even during a warning, you will still be covered as normal.

If you do choose to drive during a weather warning, make sure to follow driving tips for the weather and be cautious.
