Black Box Policy: My driving score

What is a driving score?

Your driving score is how we measure how well you drive. You will be monitored over four factors: the speed at which you drive, how well you brake, how well you accelerate and driving between the times of 11pm and 5am. These factors will all add up to give you a unique driving score, rating how you drive. The higher the score, the better the driver you are.

As we monitor your drive every day, your driving score can change depending on how well you’ve driven recently. This score also decides whether or not you receive return premiums from us as a reward for safe driving, so it’s worth trying to keep it as high as possible.

How can I track my driving score?

You can access your driving score easily by checking your WiseDriving dashboard. On here, you’ll be able to see your driving scores on a day-to-day basis.

The dashboard will show you your year to date score overall, as well as your scores for speed, acceleration, braking and night time driving.

How often will the dashboard update?

The Dashboard will normally update every 24 to 48 hours.

How do I access my dashboard?

If you’ve already registered, just click here. If you still need to register, please click here and fill out the information as requested. Once you’re registered, you can access your dashboard whenever you want.

How often should I check my dashboard?

As your driving score can vary depending on your most recent journeys, we recommend checking your score on your dashboard every three to four days to make sure you’re aware of how you’ve been driving.
