Here at WiseDriving, we give you a unique Driving Behaviour Score that rates how well you drive. To work out this score, we monitor you on four different driving behaviours which create your overall driving score. These behaviours are: the speed you drive at, the way you brake, how you accelerate and whether you drive at night. These behaviours are monitored individually and come together to give you your Driving Behaviour Score, which determines how much you pay for your car insurance.
Performing well in each of these four behaviours – by keeping within the legal speed limit, braking gently, accelerating smoothly, and not driving between 11pm and 5am where possible – means you’ll see a positive impact on your Driving Behaviour Score, which will then result in you receiving money back from your policy.
It literally pays to have a high score with WiseDriving. However, if your score isn’t as high as you might like, this doesn’t mean you’re stuck with it. You can increase your score easily by improving on each of the monitored behaviours. We’ve put together some simple tips and tricks on how you can improve on these behaviours, which you can follow to become a better, safer and cheaper driver. You can find these tips, covering each of the four behaviours we monitor, here.
Remember: the higher your Driving Behaviour Score, the more money you’ll save on your insurance policy, so it’s well worth following these hints and tips to improve your driving. If you want to see your scores, you can check your WiseDriving account after each journey to see how you’ve rated.
