Refunds after a change to your policy or reduction in your score
If you pay in full...
The refund will be issued within 14 days of the adjustment and processed using the card you used when setting up the policy. If this isn’t your card, please make sure you advise the cardholder.
If you pay by instalments...
You’ll see a reduction in the instalments and the finance provider will give written confirmation of the updated direct debit amount within the next 14 days.
If the direct debit doesn’t come out of your own account then please make sure to inform the account holder. Your new documents will be available on the customer portal for you to read or download. Please keep us updated if you need to make any other changes.
Refunds after policy cancellation
If you pay in full...
You’ll receive written confirmation of your final settlement figure within 14 days and this will be processed using the original card you used when setting up the policy within the next 14 days. If this wasn’t your own card, please make sure that you advise the cardholder.
If you pay by instalments...
You’ll receive written confirmation of the final settlement figure within 14 days, so please don’t cancel your direct debit. Any refund due or money owed will be processed using the original card you used when setting up the policy within the next 14 working days. If this wasn’t your own card, please make sure that you advise the cardholder.
Please note that, if there has been a claim against your policy, you won’t receive any refund when you cancel your insurance until the claim is closed and the costs have been calculated. A cancellation fee will still apply.
